Skyted is born from the curiosity of a man. While working at Airbus, Stéphane Hersen encountered a pain point that would lead him to create Skyted. Skyted was born out of the lack of a solution to facilitate in-flight calls for 300 passengers without disturbing the cabin’s tranquility.
Skyted was finally founded in 2021, when Stéphane Hersen and Frank Simon finally met. Frank Simon is a well known researcher in acoustics from the ONERA ( French tech lab ), who created a Jet Engine sound absorber called LEONAR. Together they integrated the Jet Engine sound absorber inside a mask.
Now, Skyted is crafting the next stage of silent communication. Making it possible anywhere, at anytime.
Skyted is backed by Airbus Dev. and the European Space Agency. Our technology is developed in partnership with ONERA, pioneers in aerospace acoustics research.
We’ve also teamed up with OneWeb for calls in high-density, mobile spaces like trains and planes for the best experience.
